Clovelly - an old fishing village in North Devon
Left at the bottom is our hotel 'The Red Lion'; driving downhill wasn't for the faint hearted!
We managed and live to tell the tale!
Parking in the seond row was just fine.
Lovely views from our room. Just right for a 2 night break:-)
The next day started sunny and we explored the harbour wall just outside the hotel.
Surprisingly we also caught some Pokemon!
Close up of the sun reflections on the wet stones
Not bad a view at all:-)
No cars are allowed and in former times everything was transported on donkeys. Today they are tourist attraction and kids ride on them during summer.
We are being watched
A robin using a bird feeder outside one of the houses.
As the village is privately owned, all properties are rented.
A bit chilly today, but still fun to roam around!
Every house has sledges to transport goods easily
All houses were renovated to a different theme: This one was modelled on a house in Oberammergau, Bavaria.
